Terms and Conditions

Introduction

I am passionate to ensure I provide high quality, professional driver education programs that meet the specific needs of clients.

These terms and conditions provide the basis of how these services are provided.

Drivers Licence

Clients must hold a current, valid driving licence (learner, provisional or open), at all times.

You must have your drivers licence with you at all times. Your licence must be produced as requested. If you are unable to produce a valid drivers licence when requested the lesson will be classed as a no show and the casual lesson rate will be payable, or in the event of a package lesson it will be forfeited.

Eyesight

Where you are required to wear glasses as a condition of your licence (learner, provisional or full) these must also be worn at all times.

Payments, Cancellations and Refunds

Payments

Payments for all programs and services must be made at the time of booking or enrolment.

You will receive written confirmation email, outlining the details of your appointment and/or course.

Cancellations

If you provide less than 24 hours notice that you are unable to undertake your practical driving lesson the casual lesson fee is payable, or if you are undertaking a package program the lesson will be forfeited.

Refunds - Courses.

Where written notice (email) is provided five (5) days or more prior to the course- a full refund is provided.

Where written notice (email) is provided less than five (5) working days prior to the course - no refund will be provided.

Enrolments can be transferred to another eligible learner prior to the commencement of the practical driving lessons, where the new learner is picked up at the same location.

Drugs, Alcohol and Smoking

I have a zero tolerance approach to illicit drugs, alcohol and smoking.

Safety is of utmost importance when teaching learners how to drive.

I reserve the right to conduct random drug and alcohol testing to clients prior to the commencement of a practical lesson.

If you are, or I suspect you are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, the lesson will not commence.

In this event you will forfeit the lesson. Where this occurs, you will be returned to your pick up point and forfeit the remainder of the lesson.

Punctuality

Participants are advised to be punctual for their course or practical driving lesson appointments.

For practical driving lessons, I will wait for a maximum of 15 minutes before a scheduled lesson is abandoned and forfeited.

A reciprocal waiting time is necessary if I am delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. I will always notify you in advance if I am behind schedule.

Any lesson time lost as a result of this will be made up either at the end of the scheduled lesson time if possible or at a later date.

Where a learner does not attend a scheduled lesson with less than 24 hours notice, this will be classed as a no-show appointment. A no show appointment will be charged at the casual lesson rate.

Where a learner has had one or more no-show’s, I reserve the right to request payment in advance prior to services being continued.

Package Lessons

Our Learn to Drive program have been developed with a set number of driving lessons included.

A learner may forfeit a lesson due to:

  • Non-Attendance

  • Lateness

  • Failing a random breath analysis

  • Failure to hold a valid licence

  • Disruptive and/or abusive behaviour

  • Failing to follow instructions for the safety of the learner and other road users

  • Dangerous driving

  • Poor attitude

In the instance where a practical lesson has been forfeited I will provide a written explanation to the learner why the lesson has been forfeited and detail the revised impact on their driver education program.

Where the total number of lessons in a package have been completed, either through attendance and/or forfeiture, I reserve the right to charge for additional practical training lessons on a casual basis, if required by the learner.

Your Driving Test

Bookings

Driving tests are booked for a mutually convenient day and time.

Use of the vehicle
The use of my vehicle is included in all of my programs.

In the interests of customer and public safety, I reserve the right to withhold the use of the vehicle for the test if, in my opinion, I believe that you have not developed sufficient competency to meet the licensing standards being assessed.

Test cancellation

Where you, the client, cancel or postpone your practical driving test with our examiners, In Gear Australia requires a minimum of five working days notice. Any refunds owed are provided to clients in line with our Refund Policy detailed in these terms and conditions.

Complaints

In the event of a complaint or grievance, in the first instance, all effort must be made to resolve the complaint informally.

Where you feel that I am unable to address your concerns, please at your earliest opportunity document your compliant and grievance and email: joshy.blake@hotmail.com

I will respond within 24 hours of receiving your correspondence.

If you feel my response is not adequate, you are welcome to contact an independent third party such as the NT Ombudsman or the Regulator.

Our aim at all times is to work with good faith, empathy and understanding to find a suitable resolution to any complaint or grievance experienced by our valued clients.
